One of my favorite people in the world (the daughter of some of our closest friends) is getting married in a couple of weeks. When she was seven, we used to play a game where she'd promise me that she'd stay seven forever. Now she's twenty-five and about to become a bride. How did that happen? I get teary-eyed just thinking about it. She's got a good head on her shoulders, though, and I trust her judgment, so this guy must be a winner. Elyse and Andrew, I'm praying God's richest blessings for you!

Last night our girls both had softball games. Our oldest's went into a tie-breaker and during the other team's bat, they got one run. When our team came up to bat, we got one run to tie us, then our daughter stole home and slid in for the winning run!! Talk about proud. :) She has never played on a team before, but she's loving it. Both of our girls play first base and coincidentally, they both ended up with the same NUMBER on the back of their jersey!

I'm hard at work on my deadline and it's amazing to me how clearly I can see this story. Getting it onto paper is still a challenge, though. Writing isn't as easy as I thought it was back before deadlines.

We went to see RV last night. I had no expectations, but it was not a bad movie at all! We groaned some, (too much bathroom words) but we laughed too. And the story itself was heartwarming and definitely family-oriented. A nice night out for us.
