Interviews, Reviews, and the Muse

Drum roll, please. I'm happy to say that my interview is up at Novel Journey. If you get a chance to drop by, leave me a comment and let me know what you think! A couple of great reviews came in this week for Promise Me Always - Check them out at - I'm Living Out Loud and Book Splurge. This book has been in my heart for so long. Finally getting it out there where people are actually reading it is FUN!

If you've read it, I'd love to hear from you, or you can always drop by the Promise Me Always page at Amazon and write a short review there!

I've been talking to friends lately about how lonely it is to write. It's like having a year of one-sided conversation with no feedback. Once a book finally hits print and is being read, the comments and reviews are the payoff for that loneliness. They fill in the other side of the conversation. As a reader, I never realized how important that was. As a writer, I treasure every comment, verbal or written. Something else, we've been joking about -- the infamous muse. I have a nonwriter friend who used to ask me if "the muse" had kissed me lately. That muse. He's so flighty. Just when I need him most, he's off kissing someone else. I'm learning to write without him. Like they say, you just glue your bum to the chair and write. And pray. Unlike the muse, God is real and he doesn't leave you when you need him. What a comfort.

Back to the fictional town of Jingle Bells, Arkansas for me. There's trouble brewing there and they need me to straighten it out. Blessings to you and yours!

You mean there's a muse? Where do I sign up for my time? LOL

Great post, Chris. And I'm going to be a groupie and follow you all over the internet as you do your promotion.
