Booksigning news and guestbook alternative

Saturday, I did a booksigning at the Wal-Mart in Newport, Arkansas. My family all turned out to support me since this is my "hometown" Wal-mart from childhood. My dad even sat at the signing table with me for a while. And even when he was out in the truck listening to the Razorback game, I knew he was with me in spirit. (Love you, Daddy!) We had a big turnout. I'm guessing we sold around 60-70 books and I signed several that people brought in that they'd purchased earlier. If you came by and bought Arkansas Saturday, thank you! I asked several people to stop by and sign my guestbook after they finished the book, but alas, today my guestbook is messed up!! Wouldn't you know it? Usually they get it straightened out within a few days, but if you'd like to, please leave a comment at the bottom of this blog. I think you can leave an anonymous comment without having a blogger account or you can use your google account. Meanwhile I'm going to check into getting a new guestbook.

Next Saturday (November 25, 2006) I'm having a booksigning at the Bible House at Searcy. If everything goes as we hope, I'll be signing my brand new release, PROMISE ME ALWAYS, along with my other titles. Officially PMA isn't out until December, but I think Dennis, the Bible House owner, is going to manage to get some early! YAY! Stop by if you're in the area!

COMMENTS:
Hi, Chris,
Your cousin, Tara London, just called to tell me about your book signing at the Bible House on Saturday. I am the secretary at Cloverdale church. I will try to put a plug in on our Wednesday announcement sheet.
Good luck on your new book.

dbI thourghly enjoyed your book "Arkansas"! I grew up in Thayer, MO which is only about 20 miles from Hardy, AR. Spring river starts in Mammoth Springs, Ar which is just a couple of miles or so from Thayer. While reading these stories I felt as though I was back there again! I now live in Mississippi. Thanks again for a taste of HOME!
