Confessions of a Sporadic Blogger (and a plain old cup of joe)

I mean to blog regularly. But then life gets in the way. My 84 yo dad had quintuple heart bypass surgery (That's five, right?) and I met one deadline with another one coming up on me like an out of control semi-truck. My 85 yo mom had chest pains and we had to rush her to the hospital. My computer crashed! Totally. The list could go on. But I don't want to bore you after I've been gone so long. :)

I've missed you. Even hard at work on Death on a Deadline with my sisters, Jan and Sandy, I've missed you. (Is that an apt title or what?) There's something cathartic about writing words that don't count toward a deadline. Words that don't have to be edited. (much) To be able to tell you that my dad is doing fantastic. Just celebrated his 85th b'day this week. And my mom is doing well, too. The writing is getting easier since I've gotten on something of a schedule. My computer man saved all my documents, etc. even though we had to reload all the programs. And I ordered me a Dell laptop which should be here SOON.

There's a coffee test going around. Have you taken it? I did. Turns out ---

You Are a Plain Ole Cup of Joe

But don't think plain - instead think, uncomplicated
You're a low maintenance kind of girl... who can hang with the guys
Down to earth, easy going, and fun! Yup, that's you: the friend everyone invites.
And you're dependable too. Both for a laugh and a sympathetic ear.
What Kind of Coffee Are You?

I think that probably sums me up. But you go take it and come back and tell me what kind you are, please? I want to know if I'm the only Plain Old Cup of Joe around.

Hope you're all having a fantastic day!

Hey! I'm Zoey Hardy.Tracey Bateman told me about you. I just finished reading her book "Leave it to Claire" and I loved it!!! I was telling her how I'd never read Christian novels before because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to relate to them. It's because I attend a Church of Christ and she said that YOU DO TOO!! I was just shocked to know that anyone else would know about the type of church I attend. I mean, more people confuse it with being Morman. haha So she told me to look up your books as well and that's what I was doing. And I came across your quiz on coffee ... I'm a cappuccino by the way. haha It was funny because that really IS me. I'm very girly girly. LOL Anyway, I'm also a writer ... I just got a book published and the second one is coming out this summer. My books are on teenagers ... and they have nothing to do with church because I wasn't sure how to put that in there. So my characters are basically hetheans. The series is called "Teens in Trouble" maybe thats why they're always in trouble. ha! But anyway, thanks for your time and I'm going to get one of your books ... it's amazing that suddenly I'm reading things I never thought I would. :)

I'm a Cappuccino

You're fun, outgoing, and you love to try anything new.
However, you tend to have strong opinions on what you like.
You are a total girly girly at heart - and prefer your coffee with good conversation.
You're the type that seems complex to outsiders, but in reality, you are easy to please.

That's all pretty accurate except the girly girl thing. But the whole complex to outsiders but in reality easy to please thing is so dead on.

Glad you're blogging again... of course one post does not mean you're blogging again. :-p you'll have to string a couple posts together in a short period. LOL

Glad your mom and dad are doing good.

Hey, girl! Glad to hear the story's coming along. :) And that your parents are too. Love ya~

Oh. Um. I forgot to say. I'm a "plain old cup of joe." Snort. And I said I liked flavored coffee. Go figure.
